Antimega Presents: Youth Route Setting Clinic
GP81 YTC’s first ever Youth Route Setting Clinic.
Discover the art of route setting in this hands-on, introductory clinic designed for youth climbers. Participants will learn practical skills, such as hold attachment and ladder placement, and be introduced to the creative process of setting, from selecting holds to setting a boulder’s first draft ( or “skeleton”). As you begin to understand the basics of route setting, you will also explore how setters approach a boulder’s primary test or “theme”, as well as forcing movements in an intuitive and equitable manner. By the end of this clinic, you will have set and forerun your very own boulder problems with real-time feedback from the professional setting crew.
